12/17/2022 0 Comments Cg277 dot by dot![]() ![]() a fellow who uses this forum reports that he tried to use a BMD Mini Monitor - SDI out > BMD HDLink Pro 3D DisplayPort - SDI in and DP out and got a gray or black screen! Now, he is just using the BMD Mini Monitor HDMI out to the CG277. Would be worth the time investing to see if their is another quality SDI->DP converter. lots of peeps try to use the BMD HDLink Pro 3D DisplayPort and have issues, for others it works. YMMV.Īnother thing to mention is the SDI->DP converter. Eizo states that their new internal downscaling of 4K to 2560x1440 is very usable. So if you want to use Resolve, u'd output a 4K signal via SDI (from one of BMD's 4K output cards), convert to DP, then feed the Eizo which then downscales the incoming 4K image to 2560x1440. Remember this is RED so their workflow includes RCX which like Premiere, After Effects, Speedgrade etc outputs directly through the graphic card and unlike Resolve does not need a dedicated video output card (not that a dedicated video output card carrying a true video signal is not recommended !). It simply means they (in this one example on the page) are using the Eizo CG276 (not the DuraVision FDH3601 which is also mentioned on the page) with a direct DisplayPort connection carrying a 4K signal which the Eizo downscales internally to 2560x1440, so your graphic card simply needs a DP output. ![]() For example, the BMD mini monitor only supports 1920x1080. ![]() #Cg277 dot by dot fullI am trying to get this all right, as the forums are full of mixed information regarding connectivity + resolution representations are often limited by or depend on the video I/O box. In the first link, it says "Images are displayed using a connection between the graphics board and DisplayPort." What solution/connection is being applied here? Is this fellow using a older MacPro or a new MacPro, as the video I/O configuration would be different (one in "the box" - old MacPro - and the other "outside the box" - new MacPro). > output 10-bit+ via SDI, convert to DP and grade in Resolve. > output 10 bit via DP and grade in Baselight Editions etc RED (the camera manufacturer) Digital Japan is using the CG276 in house.
